COAST/STARC Tax Millage Renewal Election

This Dec. 10th, our Parish has the chance to renew a small, 2 mill tax used to deliver essential services that sustain and improve the lives of community members who are seniors or are disabled. The millage has led to more meaningful, healthful and dignified lives for many of our citizens. Without the millage renewal, the vital services the tax supports could not be sustained.

Letter from the Director...

STARC first began serving individuals with disABILITIES in St. Tammany Parish in 1972. Since that time STARC has begun offering limited services in four surrounding parishes: Tangipahoa, Washington, St. Helena and Livingston. When STARC first started we served 3 children. Today STARC is serving nearly 1,400 individuals and their families at any given time. STARC is determined to provide a lifetime of critical quality services despite the ongoing budget cuts we have received over the years.
