Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)

Department/Program:  Waiver Services – St. Tammany Parish

Position:  QIDP/24 HOUR SERVICES (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional)

Job Duties Summary:  Responsible for assuring integration of the various aspects of the client’s program on 24/7 basis. Coordinates, supervises and monitors implementation of each client’s individual service plans. Responsible for recommending modification to resident’s individual service plan to accommodate progress. Accompanies residents to medical, dental, psychiatric, and other related appointments. May be required to transport residents. May be required to work in any STARC-operated facility. Serves as backup to direct support staff in emergencies and as needed due to absence of scheduled direct support staff. Minimum 40 hrs/wk. Bachelor’s degree with at least one year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities is required and one or more years work experience in supervisory capacity. Valid driver’s license required.

Hours:                           Full-time, Monday-Friday, Minimum 40 hrs/wk
